Zephyr X gain green light for £70m Manchester BTR development

Zephyr X has been given the go ahead for a new £70m sustainable BTR development in Manchester after receiving the green light from planners.

Proposals from the property investment and development company for a 23-storey residential scheme at the corner of Carnarvon Street and Cheetham Hill Road were granted by the local authority.

The proposal includes 237 one and two-bedroom apartments and a ground floor commercial unit.

Construction is expected to begin next year according to Graham Haydon-White, managing director at Zephyr X, who went on to say: “Our development offers an exciting opportunity to support the ongoing regeneration of this increasingly vibrant corner of Manchester, helping to meet the established demand for high-quality accommodation in the city centre.

“We are very grateful to Manchester City Council for supporting our vision to deliver this fantastic new BTR residential development at Cheetham Hill Road — we are looking forward to appointing contractors and starting on site next year.”
